Questions about the MBA from prospective students.

A:  The GMAT is required only for applicants who have less than a 3.2 GPA in the last 64/36 credit hours of undergraduate/graduate course work.

A:  We strongly recommend that you submit all required application materials at least one month before the first day of classes . This will provide time for decisions to be made regarding prerequisites, the GMAT, transfer credits, and financial aid.  However, late applications will be processed and assigned “conditional” status up to three business days before classes begin. Financial aid is not available to students with “conditional” status.

A:  Yes. There is an option available to students with an undergraduate degree in a non-business field. Please contact the School of Business & Economics at mba@wnmu.edu to discuss this option.

A:  If you pursue a general MBA degree, 36 credit hours are required. If you pursue an MBA with a concentration in International Business, 42 credit hours are required.

A:  No, there is no thesis requirement.

A:  Your MBA advisor will evaluate up to nine credit hours for transfer. Transferred credits must substitute for required courses or one may be used as an elective.

A:  No, the MBA program is delivered fully online and asynchronously.

A:  All online students are eligible to use the University library. Visit the library’s website for links to a wide variety of electronic resources and services.

A:  All WNMU students have access to Smarthinking, an electronic tutoring service. Live tutors provide assistance with specific assignments in many subjects including business.

A: WNMU offers a variety of resources for its students, including a career advisor, mental health therapist, tutors, events, a food pantry, a business attire closet, and more.

A: WNMU offers a wide variety of clubs that any student can join, including the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society in Business Administration, the National Society of Leadership and Success, the International Student Association, the Black Student Union, MEChA, and clubs for psychology, culinary arts, and art, among many others.
